Welcome to Ashford & Kent Piano Lessons !!

If you are looking for piano, keyboard and music theory lessons, in and around the Ashford & Kent area, you've come to the right place!  We are an MTB examination centre, meaning you can take all of your graded examinations - 1 to 8 - right here in the comfort of familiar surroundings, and with your own teacher!

Boasting a 100% pass rate for all examinations entered, for 7 consecutive years - including some truly outstanding scores - we welcome complete novices, to students already well on their way. Click here to see for yourself just a few of our happy clients.

Although we are rightly proud of our success rate in graded examinations, we offer a great deal more than 'just passing examinations', and have introduced many people to the instrument that had previously been unable to engage with other teachers and systems. Our tutor also has a full DBS disclosure..

Whatever your style - popular/contemporary, classical or jazz (see below for some examples) - we can help!  With weekly 30 minute lessons starting at £17.50, and hour lessons at £35, we are competitively priced.  Lessons are run along school term times, with optional lessons also available during the school holidays.

An Oscar For Oscar - Richard Michael

"Some 40-odd years ago I embarked upon an incredibly rewarding and life-changing musical journey - including a very interesting and exciting 10 year career as a full-time professional performer working in some equally interesting venues and locations around the world.

It is a journey I am still enjoying and passionately dedicated to today. My job as teacher is to inspire and set my students off on their own personal musical journeys.

As a professional musician I have performed, and now teach, a variety of styles - including classical, jazz, pop & rock.

Learning an instrument can be a never-ending source of pleasure and entertainment - you quite literally never stop learning!

I believe that with genuine interest, good tuition, application & time, realistic personal goals can be achieved - these may include passing an examination, or perhaps to eventually become a professional musician.

It is a fantastic and rewarding 'life-skill', that also enhances all other areas of your life.

I believe that by using my own wealth of knowledge & experience - coupled with a student's personal enthusiasm, application, time and patience - we can help anyone attain their personal goals"
